Operations Associate (Part Time) - NYC

Color Pop Events is currently hiring for a part-time (20 hours per week) Operations Associate role in New York City. The Operations Associate will assist in the day-to-day operations of Color Pop Events, be proficient in a variety of tasks, and work directly with the owner, Leah Weinberg. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, looking to learn the in’s and out’s of running a small business. This role is expected to become a full-time position as Color Pop Events grows and expands.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to press requests

  • Creating presentations for speaking engagements

  • Creating marketing materials

  • Creating budgets, checklists, and timelines for clients

  • Creating social media content

  • Venue and vendor research for clients

  • Handling event submissions for publication

  • Updating Color Pop Events’ vendor directory listings

  • Website updates (Squarespace)

  • Creating and designing newsletters

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong, professional communication skills

  • Be proactive and self-motivated

  • Be organized and detail-oriented

  • Have experience working with Squarespace websites

  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Have strong writing skills

  • Have an “eye” for style and design

  • Have a commitment to, and be excited about, helping Color Pop Events grow

***Please note that this role is NOT for someone interested in becoming an event planner. The Operations Associate will not have any client-facing responsibilities and events-specific tasks will be limited.***
