Talk about life goals! I was able to share a sneak peek of the shoot last week but wanted to give you all the full scoop and share a ton more photos from this absolutely amazing day.
The moment I walked into Kellogg's NYC in Union Square, I just felt happy. From all of the color to the fun cereal-themed knick knacks to the self-serve cereal bar, it really is such a magical place. When I found out that they rented out the space for private events, I immediately wanted to book a wedding there. Since they hadn't done one there before, I figured why not plan a styled shoot so that we could show what it would look like?
Of course, it had to be a brunch wedding! I planned a brunch wedding a couple of years ago and I LOVED it. It was so much fun. There's a different energy to the day when a wedding is happening earlier in the day, plus you get to serve brunch food. I was a big supporter of the brunch wedding well before Meghan and Harry made it popular.
I wanted the color palette for the shoot to be mostly primary in order to complement the existing colors of the Kellogg's space. I knew that red, yellow, pink and turquoise would interact really nicely with the existing decor. I also wanted to keep things pretty clean and simple, again so that it didn't look too busy in comparison with the space.
It's hard to pick my favorite details from the shoot because there were just SO many. I loved the clean lines and bold colors on the wedding cake by The Hudson Cakery, which was brought to life even more by adding a Treat House donut-shaped Rice Krispie treat on top.
Alex from Suitesmith blew me away with all of the paper goods, like she always does. She drew the toucan and tiger illustration that repeated across the back of the invitation herself. So creative!
Anne from Blade Floral and Event Designs came up with a clever and fresh idea for the ceremony of doing florals on two different sized metal stands rather than a traditional arch or pillar arrangements. And the couple got "married" under the disco bowl!
I would be remiss if I didn't also shout out the amazing bacon and egg cookies by Cookies for a Cause NYC!
And the breakfast in bed favors were so cute. I told you I couldn't pick just one favorite!
In case you can’t tell, I am so head over heels in love with this shoot, and getting to relive that fun day last March has brought a smile to my face. If you ever happen to find yourself in New York City, definitely put Kellogg’s NYC on your to-visit list. I promise, it’s definitely worth popping in.
